As part of the master plan for the middle Arava it was proposed to construct a reservoir and a pump station in the Tzofar area. Ecolog designed the Tzofar reservoir for &#8220;Mekorot&#8221; company, including a pumping station on top of the reservoir Embankment. The construction of the station was done in a few phases: during the first phase, two pumping units with an output of 600 m3\/h x 60 meters (lift), and preparation for another 4 pumping units with the same output to be installed during a latter second phase.
