Due to the large designed pipeline diameters and the height differences of 150 meters along the pipeline, there is a risk of damage to the pipe during non-steady flow conditions. Ecolog conducted hydraulic analysis of the Elishama-Sha`ar Hashomron pipeline and for the Alfei Menashe pipeline that is scheduled to branch out from it. The work included the performance of a dynamic hydraulic model using the Surge software by KY Pipe, that performs analysis of non-steady situations that may occur in the pipeline system during various scenarios.
