Ecolog performed the mapping of a pollution plume from industrial sources in the coastal aquifer in the Holon industrial area, and evaluated alternatives to the aquifer`s operation. The project included 13 groundwater monitoring wells, of which three were to a depth of approximately 70 meters, and the installation of multi-level sampling systems in these wells. The work also included the preparation of a 3D model for the flow and transport of the pollutants in groundwater, and the preparation of an operation plan for the aquifer to optimize the utilization of groundwater, taking into consideration the pollution plume in the area.
