Due to the construction of the Ramon Airport, the Raham stream was diverted and the flow course changed towards the Evrona Nature Reserve. Due to concerns for potential damage to the Evrona Nature Reserve, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority commenced the hydraulic evaluation for flow regimes and floodplains in order to establish alternatives for optimal spreading of the flood waters across the nature reserve. The model was prepared by Ecolog applying state of the art hydraulic software.
